I have a bad back, have hard some lower back surgery and have a few cats that end up on the bed at some point in the night that cause me to shift a lot to get comfy. All this and my failing pillow-top mattress makes for stiff joints and backache nearly every morning since the mattress really does not support the body contour as it once did. We purchased a few memory foam pillows a few years ago and were pleased with them so that was a decision factor in buying this topper.The first night on this was a great one and I woke felling good and no back pains at all. It does adjust to your body so there aren't a lot of spots without some support.
